Terms & Conditions for the "alpaca experiences"

  1. Soap making class rules:
All experiences include a safety briefing at the start, anyone not adhering to the information provided in this briefing and pose a potential risk to people.

Children younger than 12yo will work in couple with an adult or with other children supervised by an adult or by us.

  2. All visits to the farm must be pre-booked. We will be unable to accommodate any unexpected visitors and no you can’t just ‘have a quick look’. As you can imagine we are really busy here on the farm.

  3. Delays of more than 10 minutes from your appointment will start the experience, and the minutes will be subtracted from the duration of your experience.
Delays over 20 minutes will be considered as a cancellation without notice, the experience will be terminated.
In both cases there is no refund.

  4. All experiences are supervised by a suitably trained and experienced member of our family, customers are not permitted to take the animals unaccompanied or leave the group with the animal.

  5. All experiences include a safety briefing at the start, anyone not adhering to the information provided in this briefing and pose a potential risk to people and/or animals, will be asked to leave the farm without compensation. Alpacas may kick if guests do not adhere to the briefing. We will not accept any responsibility for injuries incurred.

  6. The alpaca experiences take place on our home farm with neighbouring cattle and sheep farms nearby. Guests must not walk on neighbouring farms or approach animals on these farms. We will not accept any responsibility if injuries are incurred by accessing neighbouring farms.

  7. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Children under the age of 12 years are unable to attend an Alpaca Walk experience for safety reasons. We run the Meet and Greet experiences for families with younger children.

  8. Hand washing facilities/hand sanitiser are provided. As part of Covid-19 regulations and good hygiene practise we ask that you wash your hands when you arrive at the farm, before refreshments are consumed and as you leave the farm. Those who accompany children have responsibility to ensure that adequate hand washing takes place.

  9. Please dress appropriately for a farm. It can get wet and muddy here so wellies and rain coats are highly recommended. Wearing your new white trainers is probably not a great idea.

  10. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before your planned experience will be invited to reschedule or receive a refund. Cancellations under 48 hours cannot be rescheduled and will not be subject to refund. Cancellations must take place via email to info@flyingalpaca.com. Please contact us in good time as we will try our best to resolve this.

  11. Gift vouchers must be redeemed within 12 months of the purchase date.

  12. It rains a lot in Kilkee! We continue with all experiences even in the rain. We suggest that you dress appropriately for the weather so you can enjoy the experience. However, the safety of our visitors and animals is paramount, so if weather warnings suggest risk of safety we will cancel the experience and offer an alternative date suitable to you or offer a refund.

  13. We will request an email address and mobile phone number from you on booking and will leave messages on both of these if we need to cancel an alpaca experience, please check as we will not be held responsible for missed messages on your part.

  14. We like to take photos during each experience and publish these to our social media profiles and website or to use them for marketing and promotion purposes, please let us know if you do not want your photo taken. You will be asked on the day if we have your permission to use them.

  15. Light refreshments are provided following the experiences. This will include tea, coffee, hot chocolate, juice and biscuits. It is your responsibility to inform us of any allergies upon booking the experience.

You jump right into the field, meeting our lovely alpacas. You will know everything about them, about their life and habits. We attended several Alpacas Classes where we got our advanced certificates with the British Alpacas Association and the Alpaca Association of Ireland.

You have the chance to meet 2 Alpacas Breeds! Huacaya and Suri. It's not easy to see Suri as they are very uncommon in Ireland!! You can meet them, only at our farm nearby Loop Head and Kilkee!

You'll feed them directly, and grab one of them, if you feel ready to. You'll have the opportunity to cuddle them, check them and train them too! This experience is completely tailored on you!

Come and greet the chickens, and maybe you'll be lucky enough to pet them too!

We'll be back at home, and I'll show you a spinning wheel, that we use with the alpaca wool. You can even have a try :) !! In the meantime, we'll offer to you a nice tea or coffee with Italian homemade treats.
